Make sure you update to apr and apr-utils from current. The version that used to be in extra isn't sufficient for apache 2.2.

apache is dependent on apr (I am not sure if also apr-util).

I had the same problem. I reinstalled apache with "pacman -S apache" so pacman had installed apr and apr-utils

I've strengthened the dependency version requirements in apache 2.2.0-5. This should fix it.
