Description:
I've inserted SD card into my laptop. SD card was used in sony alpha camera, has exfat filesystem, and not empty trash (may be relevant).
After insertion into laptop gnome-shell takes 120% CPU, takes no input from keyboard or mouse/touchpad. I could switch to console (alt+ctrl+f3) and kill gnome-shell. After that I could normally use the SD card. Gnome shell was automatically restarted.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
extra/gnome-shell 3.18.4-1
* config and/or log files etc.
not using wayland - just plain Xorg

Steps to reproduce:
Insert SD card.

Is this still an issue? Your bugreport is about gnome 3.18, we're at 3.24 now.
