Details.desktop files with 'Version=1.0' don't show up in gnome menu under 'Applications'. Many packages are affected I think.
To reproduce, install Shadowhand's http://arch.os-zen.net/pkg/shadowhand/gimp-devel-2.3.9-1.pkg.tar.gz It won't show up in gnome menu until you edit '/usr/share/applications/gimp.desktop' and remove the 'Version=1.0' line. Note: the gimp package is just an example. I have seen this in some packages in current/extra. |

But for some reason, some packages only show up when 'Version=1.0' is removed.
warning: boolean key "Terminal" has value "0", boolean values should be "false" or "true", although "0" and "1" are allowed in this field for backwards compatibility
