Description:
I recently reinstalled weechat on my new machine and wanted to use the python scripts I was familiar with from my old machine. However both python2 and python3 are required to load the python plugin in weechat. While it is not really a dependency, weechat fails in cryptic ways that are hard to diagnose. (maybe this should be a docs bug, and we just need more info on the wiki) Additional info: * package version(s): pkgver=3.4.1-1 Steps to reproduce: install weechat without python2 |

Additional comments about closing: User requested: I see now that I was looking at bitlbee, not weechat when composing this task report; as such, it is clear that python and python2 are listed are listed as optdepends and this issue does not exist. My apologies for any hassle from opening it.
