Description:
This is a new defect, 48 hours back it was working great with a fresh arch installation as well.
1) Install an x86_64 arch system with X
2) Run it on a shitty computer or in qemu (with default vga output, since -vga vmware works fine)
3) X segfaults

Steps to reproduce:
Make a disk image of an arch ROOTFS and boot it in QEMU, my cmdline:

qemu-system-x86_64 -m 2048 -drive file=diskimage.raw,format=raw

Today I faced exactly the same issue as well. Was trying to start X server on QEMU/KVM virtual machine.

i'm experiencing this same issue but on bare metal. xorg-server segfaults trying to start on poulsbo with 2d only gma500_gfx driver.
