DetailsDescription:
assimp includes a CMake configuration file in /usr/lib/cmake/assimp-3.2/assimp-config.cmake. This configuration file sets the variable "ASSIMP_LIBRARIES". However, this variable points to the debug version of the shared object, i.e. a "d" is appended to the name. This problem originates from the CMakeLists.txt file in assimp-3.2 itself (line 101). The CMake script checks if the "CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE" variable is set to "Release". If not, it appends the "d" when generating the assimp-config.cmake file. Steps to reproduce: Open the /usr/lib/cmake/assimp-3.2/assimp-config.cmake with an editor and check line 49: set( ASSIMP_LIBRARIES ${ASSIMP_LIBRARIES}d). This resolves to "assimpd", a library which is not provided by this package. Solution: Add a "-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release" to the cmake configuration step. |
