Description:
xclip 0.12 was released in 2009. Since then a critical feature was added. The -t option provides the ability to specify the MIME type of what is pasted to the clipboard. The latest source code has that option. It is unclear when xclip will release a new version. Ubuntu already compiles from source and has the -t option by default enabled. It would be nice, if archlinux also supported it. Steps to reproduce: 1) date > /tmp/bla 2) echo /tmp/bla | xclip -i -selection clipboard -t text/uri-list See here for details: http://askubuntu.com/questions/210413/what-is-the-command-line-equivalent-of-copying-a-file-to-clipboard |
