I have problem with screen resolution on Gnome. Fonts are big (even if font size is 10) and can't reduce them, screen refresh is only 50 hz. Screen resolution is better on xfce.

AFAIK, the resolution (DPI) reported by X is used in gnome. This can be very misleading on nvidia cards, and especially with dualhead setups. Look in the various forums or wikis how to set the resolution for nvidia cards. To check your resolution, run xdpyinfo, it should return something like this:

[jan@xciton-pc2 ~]$ xdpyinfo | grep resolution
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch

click details on fonts, you can set the dpi there

Ok I set the dpi here and it solve the problem of fonts/ But I still have the problem with refresh rate @ 50 Hz. It was 60Hz before. And it is 60Hz under ubuntu (just tested it) with same config. Mayb a problem with nvidia ?

yes I'm using an LCD with dualhead. Everything seems ok with gnome 2.16 :)
