Description:
Here is an issue I've posted on nemo's github page:

In the newest version of nemo, which the package is shipping, the feature to disable desktop icons is temporarily broken. Using a slightly older version (I got one using Arch Rollback Machine) fixes this issue.

Steps to reproduce:
Run nemo. Notice that desktop icons appear. Close nemo, even kill it if need be to remove the icons. Now run "nemo --no-desktop" and notice the icons appear regardless.

And were, exactly, is that version of nemo from?

Edit, I see in the upstream report, it's from Manjaro. Arch isn't shipping that, this is a Manjaro problem.
