Description:

When using Firefox in latest versions (don't know when it started) with cinnamon there are ugly bugs regarding popups (Awesome Bar, Main/Burger Menu)

Additional info:
* firefox 44.0.2-1
* cinnamon 2.8.6-1
* Arch with latest updates.

Steps to reproduce:

* open firefox
* open and close Burger-Menu *twice* (click on it)
* move Firefox window to another place
* open/close Burger Menu *twice*
* after the second time opneing the menu it will appear at the place where the menu button used to be before moving the window around
* (see screen1.png)

Additional Info:
* this only happens in Cinnamon, not in Gnome
* the problem also affects the Awesome Bar (screen2.png)
* also happens with another user
* also happens with a fresh firefox profile
* is extremely annoying in dual monitor environments (popup on the other screen)

Info:

* the "Menu öffnen" label in screen1.png is the tooltip of the menu button near my (invisible) mouse cursor

sorry i forgot to put [firefox] or [cinnamon] at the beginning of the subject. I can not find a way to edit the task, so please decide and correct.

Thanks.

EDIT: I just wanted to post, that you can workaround this problem by installing firefox-gtk2-bin from the AUR. Seems to be a Problem with GTK3 in Cinnamon.

Please contact with the upstream developers, because it's probably an upstream bug.

I could reproduce the problem, but we can't fix it, because it's a bug somewhere in the upstream code.

Please open a new issue here:

Do you think it is in Cinnamon or in Firefox? Cause I can not reproduce it with firefox-esr (38.6.1).

I'm not sure about that.
