They've acknowledged the problem and sounds like they will fix it, but not yet fixed at the time of writing.

I could package a git snapshot though.
For anyone landing here searching for rescan-scsi-bus.sh I'd recommend going to [1] (the tool's author's website), downloading the current version and extract the script manually. Put it into /root/bin and include that into your PATH variable. That way, once 1.43 will be release you won't face problems with the update.
