DetailsDescription: I don't know why, but it seems that current Compton build (2016-02-08 20:28 UTC) doesn't have '--xrender-sync-fence' and '--xrender-sync' options, which is might be useful with current Nvidia drivers. (I think that this is the case for me, because I have some redraw lag even with '--glx-swap-method 6'.)
There's a condition in Compton's Makefile (https://github.com/chjj/compton/blob/master/Makefile) for enabling these options: # ==== X Sync ==== # Enables support for --xrender-sync-fence ifeq "$(NO_XSYNC)" "" CFG += -DCONFIG_XSYNC endif but I can't see any 'NO_XSYNC' in the current Compton's PKGBUILD, as I can't run Compton with the options :( Additional info: Compton version: 0.1_beta2-7 (built on 2016-02-08 20:28 UTC) Log: (I get usage page after calling 'compton --xrender-sync-fence') Steps to reproduce: Run: 'compton --xrender-sync-fence' |

The compton package in community is a different package from compton-git (which is available in AUR).
If you wish that the latest release version of compton should include this feature, please ping/nag upstream to make a new release tag.
