DetailsDescription:
After update to kernel 4.4.1-2 inserting usb 4G (Yota) modem produce no desired effect (it does not work). Invoking 'lsusb' gives no output, hangs and can't be killed with 'kill -9'. If 'lsusb' was invoked, machine hangs during shutdown. Reproduced on two different machines, both after update to new kernel. When modem inserted before system startup, message about "kernel NULL pointer" appears in dmesg. Attached device.txt - output of lsusb on this modem from liveusb archlinux with older kernel. |

Reporting upstream kernel issues here isn't going to do much.

Fixed in 4.5 kernel, but appeared in 4.4.7-lts. I don't see any use in this ticket, so close at will.
