mgpnet is part of magicpoint package. It's a small webserver that provide a web-based presentation tool through mgp command.
mgpnet has the same parameters than mgp:

$ mgp file.mgp
$ mgpnet file.mgp

but mgpnet doesn't work and exit with:

welcome to MagicPoint Netserver...
gcc: no input files
could not guess system parameter. edit by hand.

I created a patch that resolve this bug...see the attached file.

this isn't a critical bug, you do not lose data. your system still works.
only one app is broken.

hi

thanx for finding this out and writing this patch. i'm very glad that we can repair it, because i do not use this mgpnet tool... always present things locally and without network.

your patch was fixing mgpnet itself, but it would be better to fix mgpnet.in instead. i addapted your changes to do this. the patch is attached here.

please have a look in the CVS here

http://cvs.archlinux.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/office/magicpoint/?cvsroot=Extra&only_with_tag=HEAD

and try mgpnet created by my changes. please let me know if it works fine, so that i can release the -3 package.

thanx in advance + greetings,
Damir

Yes mgpnet.in is the right place for the fix!
I have tried your patched packet and it works fine.

Bye,
Simone

by the way: if you next time generate a patch, please go to the top dir of the tarball-dir (or better explained: $startdir/src) and do the following:

# diff -Naur path/to/oldfile path/to/oldfile.new > ../packagename-ver-fixwhatever.patch

instead of the format you provided that is better human readable but more tricky to use in a packaging environement

thanx for this fix, the testing and your help!
