DetailsDescription:
After upgrade from gnome-shell 3.18.3-2 to gnome-shell 3.18.3-3 gnome-shell starts an endless loop of trying to login. I'm using nvidia-304xx driver and linux-4.3.3-3 kernel. A workaround for now is to go back to gnome-shell 3.18.3-2. Additional info: * gnome-shell 3.18.3-3 * log file attached, take a look at error at feb 07 00:34:53 Steps to reproduce: - upgrade to gnome-shell 3.18.3-3 - reboot computer |
This task depends upon
journalctl.log.bz2
I don't see any reason why -2 would work on your system and -3 doesn't.
Another question - how can I be sure that gdm is not trying to use wayland when starting login? I have an nvidia 9650M with proprietary drivers nvidia-340xx installed and as I read wayland is not yet supported?
