Description:
The intel microcode image (/boot/intel-ucode.img) loads only, when there is an initrd image under the same directory.

Use a configuration without an initrd image (kernel only)

Perhaps we should get this more general...

I have a configuration where I load a third initramfs image.
To get this working you need manual work or dirty hacks.

Updated grub in [testing], including a (modified) fix for Intel ucode loading.
