Description:

This is a known bug with Banshee 2.6.2 that was fixed a while ago, and is now back. The gist is that Banshee checks to see if the supporting version of Sqlite is greater than or equal to 3.8; this worked fine up until about a week ago, when the upgrade from 3.9.something to 3.10.1 took place. Banshee is now failing this check and it is causing the same problem it caused a while ago: huge slowdowns on searches and opening.

The upstream bug, for which there is already a patch, is "Bug 740879 - SQlite Query Plan reduces performance of banshee", and the link (with patch attachment) is here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=740879 . The last comment has the patch.
