Details

My shutdown output is not aligned to the left side of the screen. At some point in the shutdown process, this gets fixed somehow, but the first output is always all over my laptop screen.

I'm guessing this is an upstream issue, but I have no idea which upstream package to report this to? Is it systemd? Let me know if I can provide more details.

Some hardware details:

- laptop: Dell E5450
- graphics: Intel HD

This is a driver issue. I've seen it off and on for years (depending on the system).

Last system I remember it on was ATI, so it's probably deeper.

(yes, that's ATI, not AMD at the time)

Hah, okay, not exactly a new thing then... I'd be happy to help out with this, not sure where to start though. But very low priority, so not sure it's worth it.

This randomly happens here on my desktop (nvidia), laptop (ati), and another laptop (intel graphics).
It may be a good idea to report it to systemd.

Nothing. I think it was a systemd issue and it was fixed upstream

It has been years since problem was fixed. And, no one reported it again. Can we close the issue?
