If you burn an ISO to an empty BD-R, growisofs issues an error message after the burning is complete.

This is fixed by a simple patch, which is used by Ubuntu[1], Debian[2], Fedora[3], and probably others. Can we also apply that patch?

Confirming the attached patch and PKGBUILD fixed this problem for me. Please integrate into the ARCH build.

Please I think it is time to integrate this patch. At this moment probably all other distributions applied some variant of it. Besides Linux distribution - FreeBSD[1] has it as well. Please at this moment I have to rebuild this package after update each time myself. For me it is not a huge problem but someone may have difficulty.

I took the freebsd patch (which seems to be the newer and does one more line than the other) and changed the PKGBUILD of version 7.1-9 to work with it. Maybe someone else could check this, I will try to burn some 100 GB Blu-Rays too, as soon as Amazon sends them…

Yep, the issue is still there. It suffice to apply one of the patches showed in comments above. It is sad that it cannot be done in so many years...
For example gentoo patches [1] are there as well.
