DetailsDescription:
<rant> About two months ago I reported a bug about the malfunction of the NVIDIA optimus with the new Xorg server 1.18.. Not fixed yet.. The kf5 was declare "stable enough" but this is not true Plasma crashes every now and then due to a bug that has still to be fixed. Kde guys say that the problem is an Xorg one... Anyway my desktop is highly unstable, when I connect an external monitor, the displayed fonts vary from microscopic to huge, depending on the application (gtk ones are tiny, qt5 more or less ok except when i try to increase the DPI) I have to setup every time the DPI because KDE is unable to figure out the right dpi. Switching back and forth to/from the laptop display results almost always in a crash of the desktop (and all opened applications). I tried to swicth to lxqt... icons are not always present. The problems with the external monitor are still there. I tried to swicth to deepin ... It locked up after a few clicks.. Maybe I have to try gnome or maybe another distribution.. </rant> Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |
