I removed the BackupPC package as I was no longer using it.
However, the backuppc user remained in the system. This made
the shadow.service fail, as the home folder for the backuppc
user was no longer present. I was able to fix the issue by
executing 'userdel backuppc'. It seems however this should
happen automatically.
shadow.service log: jan 12 00:00:01 batou systemd[1]: Failed to start Verify integrity of password and group files. jan 12 00:00:01 batou systemd[1]: shadow.service: Unit entered failed state. jan 12 00:00:01 batou systemd[1]: shadow.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'. jan 12 00:00:01 batou pwck[11136]: user 'backuppc': directory '/var/lib/backuppc' does not exist jan 12 00:00:01 batou pwck[11136]: pwck: no changes |
