DetailsLyX is currently compiled with --with-frontend=qt. LyX offers a native implementation using GTK as well and that would integrate it into a gnome/xfce/gtk desktop much better. It would be trivial to create lyx-qt and lyx-gtk packages, but I am not sure what the policy is in archlinux with regards to handling applications that support multiple toolkits.
