My laptop is Thinkpad T440, two day ago i upgrate my archlinux with command pacman -Syu last night i activated my external graphic port and reboot system this morning , finally , system was crashed when it try to load sddm ,kde windows graphics, and stuck . the only error notice me i have uploaded i searched google and get some info that it relate to a tp_smapi module, and many newest laptops are not getting support by linux kernel. that remind me my lastest system upgrade , it did installed a new kernel 4.3.3-2-ARCH i decided to rollback to a stable version pacman -S linux-lts after that , reboot. everythink works fine. hope my experience can help your guys to make arch better. I restarted system when upgrade completed, it worked fine, but it crash and stuck since i activated the vga port to extent my screen to a display.
