Description:
Trying to update my arch system.

Command issued:
sudo pacman -Syuu

Results:

libcurl-gnutls: /usr/lib/libcurl-gnutls.so.3 exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
[me@box ~]{#}>$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libcurl-gnutls.so.3
/usr/lib/libcurl-gnutls.so.3 is owned by libcurl-compat 7.23.1-2

According to a sticky post in the forum, the suggested procedure is to "file a bug report" :)

Critical as I can't update the system and can't install any software.

I tried

pacman -R libcurl-compat

which would return:
checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: spotify: requires libcurl-compat

after
pacman -R spotify

I was able to remove libcurl-compat and then update the system.
Leaves me without spotify but that is not critical anymore

It was never critical. That's not what critical means.
