DetailsDescription: vim-python3 is not compiled with X11 support, as noted in the wiki as well: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vim. The solution detailed in the wiki is to install the gvim variant. However, this depends on gtk2, a pretty heavy dependency - I wish to have an Arch setup that is exclusively gtk3 to avoid unnecessary bloat. Firefox is transitioning to gtk3, and apart from that and gvim-python3, I am free of gtk2.
One can argue that this belongs to an AUR package. However, IMHO vim-python3, which anyway is not minimal due to python3 support, can also have X11 clipboard support without the GUI.
