Details

The post-installation message suggest to enable the mysql.so extension, this should be pdo_mysql.so however (since Drupal 7.0).

Besides that, I'm not sure if this should be listed in an install message. The documentation in the wiki should be sufficient.

Not really related, but might be easier than filing a new bug:

php-gd should be a dependency (See https://www.drupal.org/requirements/php)
