Hey,
i have a bug in vlc 0.8.5-3 (i also had this in previous versions)
When i have set it to "Always on top" from inside the program whenever i want to return from fullscreen the video freezes. The audio doesn't and i can kill vlc from another console.
I'm using Gnome 2.14.1 and Kernel 2.6.16.19-1 but i had this problem with previous releases

I have a similar problem when zooming: when I go to 200% all controls disappear, controlling functions freeze, but video and sound continue.
Using KDE 3.5.2.

jeah. same here. but i only got it if i am using the wxWidgets interface. I can't zoom at all.. Resizing the windows dosn't work either.

well, I can confirm that this happens, but honestly I consider this to be an upstream issue. Please try to find some informations on the vlc mailinglist or their forums.

try looking through their bug db and see if they have an fix.

well the bug is known to them but it is still there in the latest nightly.. lets wait and see
