Yesterday, 11-Dec-2015, I downloaded a fresh ISO for installation of Archlinux on new computer hardware. During the pacstrap command, the Archlinux Keyring was not installed correctly and pacstrap exited with a message similar to the one below. Similar = I cannot recall the exact message, but I remember it was close to this one. I could get around the issue by executing pacman-key --populate archlinux. (128/128) checking keys in keyring downloading required keys Import PGP key 2048R/EAE999BD, "Allan McRae <me@allanmcrae.com>", created: 2011-06-03 and I am getting error: key "Allan McRae <me@allanmcrae.com>" could not be imported And getting same error for all keys.On end I get this: error: required key missing from keyring error: failed to commit transaction(unexpected error) Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded ==>ERROR: Failed to install packages to new root. Please note I chose high severity as I do not know if others face the problem as well. |

Maybe it helps to check the hardware time. Type "date" in the
shell. Set time with "timedatectl".
