Description:

Despite many complaints and fixes over the years for support of hidden shares, version 5.1.1 and auto.smb will not mount a hidden share. Accessing a hidden share that ends in a dollar sign ($) causes this error in debug mode.

mount_mount: mount(generic): calling mkdir_path /smb/GQ/C2$
mount_mount: mount(generic): calling mount -t cifs -o guest //GQ/C2\$ /smb/GQ/C2$
>> Retrying with upper case share name
>> mount error(6): No such device or address
>> Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
mount(generic): failed to mount //GQ/C2\$ (type cifs) on /smb/GQ/C2$

Steps to reproduce:
Configure autofs for auto.smb
In one window, stop the autofs.service, and run manually with /usr/bin/automount -f -d --timeout=5
In another window access a hidden Samba share: ls /smb/GQ/C2$
The access fails.

Included is a patch to fix the problem.
