I am a new user giving Arch Linux (or was planning to) a try. Installing for the first time on a netbook following the instructions for installing from a USB stick.

I got to the last part of the instructions and was halted, unable to complete setup.

The instructions simply say to install a boot loader, but provide no instructions as to how to do this.

Clicking the link for the list of available boot loaders takes me to a list. I selected Syslinux and followed the link. There is a lot of information telling what Syslinux is, but again, no instructions as to how to install it. Just states install from official repositories. A link to official repositories simple takes me to a page describing what official repositories are. Again no information as to how I'm suppose to install a package from them.

Two methods I know of to install a package from an official repository or any repository from command line is using either apt or aptitude, neither of which is installed during the instillation process.
