FS#4710 - glibc 2.4 & xlib locale problem
|
DetailsAll X apps report error with *any* locale:
-------------------------------------------------------- Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default -------------------------------------------------------- (gvim:6740): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib (gvim:6740): Gdk-WARNING **: cannot set locale modifiers -------------------------------------------------------- 1.locale-gen works fine. 2.I changed locale to C but it reports the same error. I'm using glibc 2.4-1, xorg-clients 7.0-1, libx11 1.0.1-1 I rebuilt libx11 with glibc 2.4 but it doesn't help. |

My kernel is 2.6.16.18 (not arch's)
If you pacman -S current/libx11
the issue is resolved... All other constellation. current/gcc current/glibc if testing/libx11 is installed will fail.
Rebuilding gtk and gdk-pixbuf while testing/libx11 being installed didn't help either.
(I used gvim to test it, too.)
