Details

Description:
Pitivi doesn't allow to create a new project (although the project selection window does disappear when pressing it) and nothing happens in the UI when pressing project settings.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install pitivi
2. Run pitivi
3. Press "new project" (expected result: project configuration window appears / actual result: nothing happens)
4. Go to the menu / project settings (expected result: project info or configuration window appears / actual result: nothing happens)
5. Look at the command line output

The prebuilt package works however http://www.pitivi.org/?go=download .

xorg-server 1.17.4-2 and intel video drivers

Could you please attach the log when you reproduce the bug with: $ PITIVI_DEBUG=7 pitivi

There is no change in the output.

pacman output upon installing:

Does it work if you install the optional dependencies of the Pitivi package? See https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/pitivi/

What window manager are you using?

Had same problems (pitivi was not starting), installing gst-plugins-bad optional dependency solved the problem.
