If package libtirpc-023 is installed instead of libtirpc, attempting to login from console results in "Login incorrect". journalctl shows this: PAM unable to dlopen(/usr/lib/security/pam_unix.so): libtirpc.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory PAM adding faulty module: /usr/lib/security/pam_unix.so PAM unable to dlopen(/usr/lib/security/pam_access.so): libtirpc.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory PAM adding faulty module: /usr/lib/security/pam_access.so pam_ecryptfs: NULL passphrase; aborting The fix is to manually install libtirpc-1.0.1-2. Dependency for pam should be changed to require more recent version of libtirpc which provides libtirpc.so.3. Additional info: * package version(s) libtirpc-023 0.2.3-2 pam 1.2.1-2 |
