Description:
Currently, the ipython and jupyter packages provide desktop files (/usr/share/applications/{ipython,jupyter}.desktop) which have invalid Icon entries. I don't think this can actually be fixed upstream, as an absolute path to the icon (/usr/lib/python3.5/site-packages/qtconsole/resources/icon/JupyterConsole.svg for Arch) is required, so only the packagers know what to put there.

Additional info:
ipython 4.0.0-4; jupyter 4.0.2-6

Steps to reproduce:
Notice that the ipython and jupyter entries e.g. in the KDE application launcher have no icons. Set the Icon entry correctly in the .desktop files and notice that this is fixed.

Sure upstream could fix it, by correctly installing an icon file.

Half fixed in jupyter 4.0.6-3. Ipython is very close to a release, will fix that one then.
