DetailsDescription: incompatibility with Xfce?
Since upgrading from 3.16.0-1 to 1:3.18.3-1, the keyring stopped working. Owncloud client asks for passwords now since the upgrade, and Seahorse does not allow to add passwords. Could be related to this message in pacman upgrade logs: [2015-11-06 16:44] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> The polkit-gnome agent is no longer autostarted by default [2015-11-06 16:44] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] except in GNOME Flashback. [2015-11-06 16:44] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] For Xfce, LXDE etc., lxsession is the suggested lightweight alternative. [2015-11-06 16:44] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Polkit#Authentication_agents [2015-11-06 16:44] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] for more details. Additional info: * package version(s): 1:3.18.3-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Use XFCE4 desktop environment, upgrade from 3.16.0-1 to 1:3.18.3-1. I have the same observations posted in this forum: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=203423 The issue at hand seems to be that Xfce requires gnome-keyring on my installation, but gnome-keyring stopped supporting Xfce. No clue yet as to how/where this needs to be fixed. |

What does "stopped working" mean? As you posted youself, it no longer auto starts, but that's by design.

Ok, you got me there :-). I mean: no longer auto starts. What dependency issue needs to be fixed here? Add lxsession as a dependency for gnome-keyring when using Xfce?

It's not a dependency issue, you need to setup a polkit agent youself. Use the forums/mailing list/IRC if you need help.
