Detailsif gnome-software is installed in Arch, a user will get periodic GUI update prompts. However, this does not ignore packages listed in the IgnorePkg line in /etc/pacman.conf, meaning that if a user is deliberately freezing some packages, they will be repeatedly notified that they have updates available, and cannot perform an update through the GUI software without it failing.
