This should not happen and it does not for me...

Is there anything special to your system?
Any libs that are not up to date? (libsigc++ comes to mind...)
Any libs from AUR that could break workbench?

I had the exactly same problem when installed the package.

Any more information?
Is your system up to date?
What versions of mysql-workbench and libsigc++?
Comment by Eduardo Vital (ed.vi) - Monday, 18 April 2016, 23:05 GMT
My system is up-to-date (updated today morning).
mysql-workbench v. 6.3.6-5
libsigc++ v. 2.8.0-1

I don't have the MySQL(MariaDB) installed. I just have interest in the SQL modelling tool incorporated in the mysql-workbench.
I don't know what information is relevant. But anything you ask, I can provide.

I updated right now, just in case, and it is working.
I don't know which package was affecting the mysql-workbench, but now it is working.

Thanks, and sorry for make you loose some of your time.

My next guess would have been gtkmm... Probably that was updated. ;)
Thanks for feedback.
