'sane-find-scanner' finds my hp4700c, but 'scanimage -L' reveals no support. To add in support, u will have to add in the files at http://hp44x0backend.sourceforge.net/

btw - u can see from http://www.sane-project.org/cgi-bin/driver.pl?manu=hp&model=4470c&bus=usb&v=&p= that the backend is "neither included in the current tarball nor the CVS repository", and hence the lack of support.

But don't trust what else that page says about the level of support for the scanner! For updated details, you should refer to http://hp44x0backend.sourceforge.net/ as mentioned.

Status in the latest sane version? Isn't this fixed by upstream yet?
