Description:
Internal display on i915 eDP port flickers on resume from standby. No relevant messages in dmesg.

RedHat bug report seems to indicate that this is a problem with eDP link training.

* core/linux 4.2.5 affected
* core/linux-lts 4.1.8 through 4.1.12 NOT affected

Steps to reproduce:
Place computer in standby mode, then resume from standby. Observe intermittent display flicker.

And the linked bug report was a freedesktop.org bug report, not a redhat bug report. Sigh. Although the redhat bug report (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1265606) could be related.

Bug still present in linux 4.4.5-1. linux-lts 4.1.19-1 still unaffected.

Dammit. The latest LTS kernel is now affected, and the latest normal kernel STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED!

Seems fixed in 4.7.0rc tree according to the fdo report. We won't backport this until it goes into the stable trees.
