As of aurweb 4 pages providing VCS information like aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/?h=<package name> are featuring a link "[...] | click here to return to the package details page" which is pointing to the package's main page aur.archlinux.org/packages/<package name>.

I think this is an extremely convenient feature and was hence wondering whether something similar could eventually be implemented in the official repositories, too.

@Doug - Ah, that was obtained from https://www.archlinux.org/packages/ then search on the package of interest (just like the AUR). Then click "View Changes" from the upper-right.

@graysky, right. If you then go to a similar AUR page, like https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/log/?h=chromium-widevine and look at the line right under the title, you'll see a link.

The implementation for this would need to be more complicated compared to the one used by the AUR cgit interface.

The perceived benefit is minimal so we are not going to implement this; people can either use their browser's "back" button or, alternatively, open the "Source Files" and "View Changes" links in new tabs.
