I know making bug reports about out of date packages is not
allowed however where there is no communication or currently
open bug reports or tasks against the package one has to
wonder why it has taken months up update.
textinfo 6.0 was released almost 4 months ago now and the only patch Arch's package contains has been already upstreamed. I've built, cleaned up and updated the texinfo PKGBUILD and install file for 6.0 (see attachments) and have been using it for a few weeks without any issue. Is there any reason this package has been held back for so long? |
