I do not know which update caused this to happen, but when I am in Gnome-Software, under the 'Installed' tab the list is empty. This has never been the case before."

I do know there was an update to appstream recently. I do not know if that is in any relation to this or not.

Additional comments about closing:  User requested: was an issue with a manually installed version of Matlab. Apparently gnome-software didn't like it
