Description:

I have two soundcards. One is integrated HDA Intel audio, other one is firewire Echo Audiofire 2. Both are supported directly by Alsa and both soundcards work perfectly. But when using AudioFire2 sound quality is very low - missing bass, stereo imgae is weird, sounds like out of phase. HDA Intel sounds perfectly fine. In Windows 7 Audiofire2 sounds also perfectly fine. Something is wrong. I couldn't fill the bug report on Alsa website, because their bugtracker is down.

Here is the output of alsa-info.sh script:

* config and/or log files etc.

Can you please let me know if this is still an issue for you with the latest version of ALSA and other Arch Linux packages?
I found this http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2015-July/095503.html but I am not sure if it is related at all.
Please let me know if this continues to be a problem. Thanks in advance for your response.

I has been almost a year and I have changed my soundcard to O2DAC, because of low sound quality problem. I cannot test Audiofire 2 with latest Alsa, becuase I already sold the card.

Okay, thank you for replying to this ticket, that is very much appreciated and will help us make sure it does not stay open indefinitely. I am going to recommend that this be closed due to you being unable to further test, as well as the information in the link I posted on the ALSA project mailing list indicating fixes for firmware version dependent quirks for this card, whose changes should have been integrated into our version of ALSA by now. Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my request for comment.
