added this to forum https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1569803#p1569803 :

With linux-grsec-4.2.3 i have one more problem.
After mount and unmount USB physically - all system freezes!!!
Only restart button help (((
I tested it with 2 different systems: one with intel, other with amd processors.

PS: now i downgraded my kernel to "sudo pacman -U linux-grsec-4.1.7.201509201149-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz"
and system doesn't freeze after unmounting USB FLASH.
Virtualbox i will test later...

Same problem when removing my USB bootloader, my SD card keyfile, or any USB I mount after booting the system freezes and my caps lock blinks. I can mount/unmount through terminal though, it's just the physical unplugging of anything that freezes everything.

PS: Just wanted to say thanks for keeping the kernel updated so frequently. I was reading the other bugs and it seemed liked someone was a bit unappreciative which is a shame.

This is likely fixed by 4.2.3.201510111839, uploading it soon.

Just updated to the new kernel '4.2.3.201510111839-1-grsec' and the problem is still happening in the same way. If there's any additional information I can give that would help let me know.

The issue is known upstream and today's patch makes an attempt to fix it by backporting an upstream commit fixing a use-after-free bug. If it still happens with 4.2.3.201510130858 (uploading once it's built), then we can try to gather the information they'd need to fix it (kernel logs during the crash, etc.).

You could try booting with pax_sanitize_slab=0 on the kernel line for now, since it's MEMORY_SANITIZE that results in the use-after-free bug being detected.
