DetailsDescription:
/usr/bin/libvirtd is linked against libcap-ng.so.0, but missing the dependency: linux ~ # /usr/bin/libvirtd /usr/bin/libvirtd: error while loading shared libraries: libcap-ng.so.0: cannot open shared obj linux ~ # objdump -p /usr/bin/libvirtd | grep NEEDED | grep libcap NEEDED libcap-ng.so.0 This happens because libvirt has a make dependency on qemu, which pulls in libcap-ng. Any other lib is linked against libcap, so we have /usr/bin/libvirtd linked against libcap-ng and libcap: linux ~ # ldd /usr/bin/libvirtd | grep libcap libcap-ng.so.0 => /usr/lib/libcap-ng.so.0 (0x00007fadaf919000) libcap.so.2 => /usr/lib/libcap.so.2 (0x00007fadabb12000) I am not familiar with libcap(-ng), so not sure if that is an issue. Additional info: libvirt 1.2.20-1 |
