DetailsDescription:
After upgrading my system, ncmpcpp says "problem setting volume". It comes down to mpd in this case, or better pulseaudio. The current pulseaudio and libpulse package is 7.0-2. The update happened a few days ago, but the previous one was months ago. By chance I have tried downgrading pulseaudio and libpulse to 6.0-2 and to my surprise music started working again. Youtube was playing with sound with 7.0-2 and there was no problem with sound level adjustments either. I cannot remember adjusting the pulse conf files when I have installed my pc, but that could have happened. If needed I can attach those configs too. Additional info: * package version(s) ** pulseaudio-7.0-2 ** libpulse-7.0-2 * config and/or log files etc. ** mpd.conf Steps to reproduce: 1. Upgrade 2. Start mpd 3. Start ncmpcpp 4. Observe no sound and no playing activity 5. Downgrade to working version |
