Since upgrading to Linux 4.2.2, I cannot connect to my Wi-Fi network anymore. NetworkManager is still able to list available networks, but any attempt to connect to one just hangs until NM gives up.

It works correctly with the LTS kernel (4.1.8).

My wi-fi driver module is ath9k (attached is the output of lshw for my wireless interface).

Here is the output from dmesg when it works (4.1.8, relevant messages start at 17s) and when it does not (4.2.2, relevant messages start around 18s).

I'm getting a similar problem on 4.2.2; Wi-Fi is working but very slowly. Works fine on LTS kernel version.

It seems not to work anymore with the lts kernel either (4.1.10-2). The regression appears to have been backported.

Edit: it hasn’t. Never mind. Sorry.

Update: it finally works again with 4.7.
