DetailsDescription:
after updating the mainline kernel to 4.2.2 it says "cannot find root partition with UUID=XX... you're being dropped to a recovery shell" and after that it just freezes. booting into the live image and issuing "genfstab" and then "grub-mkconfig" didn't solve it although the UUID found in fstab matches that in grub.cfg downgrading was the solution. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. using the mainline kernel and KDE plasma 5 with sddm and the latest packages(except the kernel) Steps to reproduce: 1-update the kernel to 4.2.2. 2-reboot. 3-choose Arch Linux from grub menu 4-wait. |

the thing is that I have a working /etc/fstab with 4.2.1, just not with 4.2.2 .
the problem is that the new kernel somehow says it didn't find the root partition when the UUID is correct in both grub.cfg and fstab, maybe it can't read the UUID, don't know what the issue as the system freezes after dropping me to the recovery shell(I'm staying with 4.2.1 for now).
