Description: After update to Kernel 4.2.1 Dell E7440 laptop freezes when docked in Dell E-port Plus replicator

- Laptop will boot and operate correctly when not docked.
- Laptop freezes soon after is it docked in the replicator.
- If booted when Laptop is docked in the replicator it freezes when it starts GDM

Additional info:
* Laptop is using gnome 3.16
* Reverting to 4.1.6 lts kernel solves the issue
* User neunerseb reply to a forum post stating they see a similar issue on Thinkpad T450

* I will try to capture a journald log and post here


Steps to reproduce:
Place Dell E7440 laptop in Dell E-port Plus replicator and boot.

Same problem with the same machine. It seems to be a problem with the video card and an external display, the same bug as this one https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/46462.

They may be related, but my initial workaround was to connect my external monitor directly to the undocked laptop and it worked fine.

Per my comment on 10.1.15 this appears to be fixed and can be closed.
