i use archlinux at my work laptop which has a pcmcia slot, and at work we frequently read and write to old pretec SRAM cards which holds some OS info for our parking ticket machines and this module enables pcmcia to create mtd nodes of a certain set of sram cards which i then can use the module mtdblock with and actually mount them. so this would save me the trouble of having to rebuild the kernel on each update.

seeing as it only affects certain sram PCMCIA cards that are identified specifically from a struct in pcmciamtd.c i dont see how it should conflict with anything.
